Katun is Montenegrin term for the wooden mountain hut where the villagers spent summer due to pastures for the cattle. Today that is one of the best sustainable tourism products that Montenegro has - offering beautiful nature, clean air and healthy organic foods in environment-friendly surroundings. All the huts are wooden and are equipped in the way that respects the eco-friendly materials and design. The owners and the guests are dedicated to preservation of the natural resources in the in the village, starting from garbage disposal procedures, food producing and preparation process and the organization of the activities such as hiking, cycling, rafting etc. in the way that insures maximum education and knowledge of the natural resources of this natural preservation located at the border of the National Park Biogradska Gora.
